This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 6 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Latest forecasts from multiple meteorological sources point to an overnight low in Shanghai on September 6, 2026, near 24–25°C, aligning with the market’s heavy weighting toward 25°C (40.5%) and 26°C (56.5%). Official and model guidance, including runs referenced in sites like LUFT TIME, Global Meteo, and WeatherBug, consistently show a minimum around 24.1°C (roughly 75°F) under partly cloudy to clear skies with light northeast winds and limited precipitation overnight. This reflects Shanghai’s early-September subtropical transition, where seasonal cooling from peak summer norms (historical September lows averaging ~22–23°C) combines with urban heat retention and a modest diurnal range of 5–7°C under humid conditions (dew points near 20–22°C). Recent model consensus and the absence of strong cold-air advection or clear-sky radiative cooling have kept probabilities concentrated in the mid-20s°C, while lower outcomes (24°C or below) carry minimal implied odds due to the current synoptic pattern. Traders are closely watching updated hourly observations and any late adjustments from the China Meteorological Administration, as the final recorded minimum will resolve the market once the full 24-hour period closes.
