Brisbane Bullets host Cairns Taipans in an NBL Queensland derby at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, with both sides at or near .500 entering Round 7. Brisbane arrives on a high after a dominant 98-81 road win over Illawarra, where they outrebounded the Hawks by 22 and leaned on league-leading rebound totals near 47.5 per game, plus contributions from import Nate Hinton and newly integrated former NBA guard Raul Neto amid multiple absences. Key Bullets injuries include Arnas Velička (lower limb), Jacob Holt and Sam McDaniel (lower body), though Tyrell Harrison has returned. Cairns, sitting fourth at 5-4, enters with momentum from four wins in five games, including an 86-84 thriller over New Zealand, strong three-point volume, and the return of Jaylin Galloway; Sunday Dech remains sidelined. Recent head-to-head favors the Taipans, but Brisbane’s interior edge and home rest could shape the closely contested matchup.
