Edas Butvilas enters the Manacor Challenger second round on outdoor hard with strong recent momentum after capturing the Lexington Challenger title and advancing here when Sebastian Ofner retired injured after dropping the opening set. The 22-year-old Lithuanian, ranked around 195, holds a 17-8 hard-court record in 2026 and leads the head-to-head 1-0 on outdoor hard. Remy Bertola, the slightly higher-ranked Swiss at No. 174, brings more experience but enters with mixed recent results on the surface following US Open qualifying losses. Their two prior meetings split 1-1, with the last on indoor hard; serve and return stats show limited separation, though deciding-set trends slightly favor Bertola. The matchup remains competitive given both players’ solid hard-court pedigrees and the absence of major injury concerns.
