Vancouver Canucks' dismal 3-14-1 start with just 7 points and a league-worst minus-30 goal differential has established them as the clear market leader for fewest regular-season points. Early-season defensive breakdowns, including a 4.5 goals-against average and sub-.860 team save percentage, have fueled a four-game losing streak and 14 losses in 15 contests. Chicago Blackhawks sit next at 4-12-1, hampered by similar defensive lapses and limited offensive support. Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, and Utah Mammoth trail with slightly better records but comparable underlying issues in goaltending and consistency. Stronger clubs like the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins, and Edmonton Oilers remain longshots due to superior rosters and recent form, though prolonged injuries or slumps could alter trajectories in this 82-game campaign.
