IFK Mariehamn finished last in the Veikkausliiga relegation round with 19 points from 27 matches, confirming their direct drop to the 2027 Ykkösliiga. The 12-team league split into championship and relegation groups after the regular season; Mariehamn's poor results, including a 1-1 draw against FF Jaro that sealed their fate, left them unable to avoid the bottom spot. FF Jaro, second-bottom on 21 points, stayed up by defeating Ykkösliiga side PK-35 Vantaa 2-1 on aggregate in the playoff. No other teams faced relegation, with the remaining sides in both groups securing their top-flight status for 2027. The season ran from early April into early November, and with the relegation round concluded, the outcome hinges on these final standings rather than remaining fixtures.
