This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Helsinki Vantaa Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 6 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=efhk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Forecast consensus from multiple models positions 15–16°C as the most likely daily maximum for Helsinki on September 6, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading implied probabilities (15°C at 61%, 16°C at 24.5%). Short-term guidance from sources including the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI/Ilmatieteen laitos), Yr.no, and other ensembles shows a northwest flow under a weak ridge, with partly cloudy skies, light to moderate winds, and no significant precipitation expected. This setup favors a modest daytime rise from overnight lows near 8–10°C, peaking in the mid-teens Celsius. Current observations on September 5 (around 12–14°C) and model runs reinforce this range rather than the long-term September 6 climatological average high of ~17°C. Traders appear to weight the freshest model consensus and recent cool northerly advection more heavily than historical norms, resulting in tight clustering around 15°C with limited probability mass on outliers. Resolution will depend on official FMI station data (typically Helsinki-Vantaa or Kaisaniemi), with final confirmation of the daily maximum occurring after sunset on the 6th. No major forecast shifts have emerged in the past 24–48 hours.
